Meet the Team
-
Giulia Biancon, PhD
PRINCIPAL INVESTIGATOR
I have always been interested in the pathophysiology of hematologic malignancies. After my PhD at University of Milan, I did my Postdoc at Yale University in Stephanie Halene’s lab. There, I started to investigate pathogenic RNA mechanisms in myeloid malignancies. My RGHM lab has recently started in September 2024 at Policlinico Hospital of Milan, Italy.

Martina Vigorelli
POSTGRAD
In 2023, I graduated in Veterinary Biotechnology Sciences from the University of Milan and gained international experience at Uppsala University, Sweden. In February 2025, I joined Biancon's lab to further explore the mechanisms underlying hematologic malignancies and contribute to cancer research advancements.

Matthew Cheng
POSTGRAD
After graduating at Yale University in 2023, I joined the Halene Lab, where I worked with Giulia to develop preclinical models of U2AF1-mutant MDS. I have now been accepted to the University of Arizona College of Medicine – Phoenix.

Giulia Marianantoni, PhD
POSTDOC
During my PhD at University of Siena, I worked in the laboratory of Brian C Lewis at UMASS Chan Medical School, where I studied mTOR in pancreatic cancer. My choice to explore the molecular mechanisms of myelodysplastic diseases and leukemias is due to my strong interest in cancer research and the complexity of the hematology world.
